On the wedding front, J and I have picked a date in the Summer of 2010! We’ve picked out the church, priest and hope to have a contract with the band in a few days. One big thing we need to figure out is the reception venue. We’ve looked at one place in downtown St. Paul, which we both loved but hope to look at another venue soon. Hopefully after looking at both venues, we’ll make a collective decision.
I can tell you this---I won’t be getting married at the Mall of America. Check out this story from Kare11.com, our local news station. It’s about couples getting married at the Mall of America on a roller coaster. Who in their right mind would get married at a mall? ICK.

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- Many people will say marriage can be a real roller coaster ride.
But 15 couples embraced the ups and downs right from the start -- they got married Wednesday on a roller coaster at the Mall of America.
The couples exchanged vows on the Pepsi Orange Streak roller coaster at Nickelodeon Universe.
The ceremony started at 9 a.m. and was complete with a champagne toast and wedding cake.

Agreed! Getting married in a mall is very tacky!
Have fun scoping out reception venues!
