Mini-Moon

One of the best parts of the wedding process is the HONEYMOON! Our wedding is going to be at the end of July, which means it’s going to be smack-dab in the middle of a Minnesota summer. Summers in Minnesota are warm, sunny and beautiful. After a long winter, most Minnesotans want to stay close to home or go up North to enjoy our fabulous weather.

J and I decided that we’d like to hold off with taking our honeymoon until the weather changes. Going to Hawaii (Maui to be exact) during November or December sounds more attractive than going during July. So that’s what we’re going to do.

Many of our friends and family members suggested that we still plan some sort of get away after the wedding. It’s a chance to be together as a married couple and digest everything that just happened. After much thought, we decided that taking a mini-moon is a good idea.

We’re still not sure what we’re going to do, but we seem to be leaning towards going up North to a resort called BlueFin Bay on the North Shore. Then, when the weather gets cold, we’ll jet off to Maui. Fun! I’m so excited =)

That is a good idea. Hawaii would be much more enjoyable when it is freezing here.

And I've been to BlueFin Bay before, so pretty and relaxing!

The perfect plan! You certainly need to get away for a few days after your wedding, but if Minn is anything like MI, November is the perfect time to jet off to Maui!

We though about doing a Northern MN mini-moon, too, since Minnesota is so gorgeous in the summer that it seems just crazy to leave...but we haven't been on a full-fledged vacation in so long that we just had to go somewhere new. I'm hoping that we can do another trip next winter...being on the beach is so much better when you know it's cold at home!

Hawaii will be amazing!
