Or maybe goodbye slow season, hello busy, chaotic season. Like a flick of the switch, once the calendar is flipped to September, busy season begins. Many of our contracts incept at 1/1, which means that we begin to draft documents in late August/early September. I’m already feeling a bit stressed by how much I have on my desk, but I’m not going to complain. The economy sucks right now and I have a good job that I actually like, which definitely gives me some peace of mind.
Speaking of peace of mind, I finally feel like I’ve settled into my home. I have stuff on the walls and most of the rooms are decorated. There are still a few boxes down the basement, but they're filled with things I obviously don’t need on a daily basis…obviously since I haven’t needed them the past three months. I’ll have to post pictures of the house soon =)
Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall also means new episodes of t.v. shows will be hitting the tube in the next couple of weeks. I couldn’t be more thrilled! New Dancing with the Stars, new Grey’s Anatomy and my favorite, Gossip Girl. Sure I may be 28 years-old, but I love that show. It’s totally fake and outrageous, well at least my high school life didn’t resemble what’s going on in Serena or Blair’s lives, but hey, it's fun to watch and it's entertaining. I’d mention other shows like the Hills, or other reality junk on cable, but I am trying to live without cable. So far, it’s been three months, and I’m actually doing fine. Crazy, huh? I didn’t think I’d last a day, let alone three months, but here I am, and I’m still alive. I honestly don’t even feel like I have time to watch tv. My time is occupied with cleaning the house, pulling weeds, watering flowes, having dinner with friends, walking around my new ‘hood and of course hanging out w/ J and family. Yikes, I hope J doesn’t read this because he’ll give me crap about my pulling the weeds and watering the flowers. Lets just say the flowers in the backyard are dunzo, thanks to my lack of enthusiasm. He's basically told me that I'm not allowed to touch the yard anymore.
By the way --- I give myself another 2 months until I breakdown and call Comcast. Wish me luck!
Oh a quick shout out to my loyal readers, LB and her boo Gritz! Thanks for reading =)
