I was out of town this weekend, on a girl’s trip to Wisconsin. J told me earlier in the week he planned on staying down at my house and would get some work done in the yard. Before I left Friday morning, I cleaned the house and marinated some chicken and pork-chops for J in my absence. Unfortunately I was in such a rush that I didn’t get a chance to wash my sheets, which I do religiously, once a week. I have major OCD when it comes to cleaning and I’m terrified of bed bugs. I must have complained to J that I didn’t get to the sheets and he said it could wait until I got home.
So Saturday night, I got a phone call from J. He was exhausted because he’d been working in the yard ALL DAY and was too tired to cook dinner. I told him I had just talked to my mom and that she had just been to the grocery store. As soon as J and I had hung up, he called my parents house and asked what was for dinner. That conversation ended up in a dinner invitation. I think that’s the sweetest thing ever and I’m so glad he feels comfortable to do stuff like that. My parents were impressed too. Seriously, the kid can’t do any wrong.
Fast-forward to Sunday afternoon. I pulled into the house and J was working out in the yard. He pulled over 15 bushes/trees and the yard looked AWESOME. When I walked in the house, I heard the dryer rumbling…he was washing my sheets.
